Libya will lock horns with Egypt in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group F encounter on Monday.

Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.

The match is expected to take place at the 28 March Stadium in the second-most populous city in Libya, Benghazi.

The Mediterranean Knights are desperate for a win after losing 1-0 to Egypt away in the Group F encounter which was played on Friday.

Libya are placed second on the group standings – just a point behind leaders Egypt with three matches for the teams.

Omar Al Khoja, who netted the Mediterranean Knights’ winning goal against Angola last month, is a key player for his side.

Meanwhile, Egypt are placed at the top of the group standings and they have an opportunity to secure a win over Libya, and maintain their lead.

Mohamed Marmoush scored the only goal of the match against Libya and he will be keen to inspire the Pharaohs to another win over their North African rivals.

The last time Libya hosted Egypt in a competitive match was on 08 October 2004.

The Mediterranean Knights stunned the Pharaohs as they ran out 2-1 winners in the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Tripoli.
