Nigerian star Victor Osimhen has been described as a ‘crazy horse’ by legendary Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro.

The 22-year-old marksman has been in good scoring for SSC Napoli this season having played six matches in the Italian Serie A and scored four goals.

Napoli are currently sitting at the top of the Serie A standings – two points above second-placed AC Milan and Cannavaro discussed the Serie A title race.

“Napoli are solid. They can win the Scudetto. But beware of the two sides from Milan,” Cannavaro told Tribal Football.

“Spalletti’s team looks like a wall at times and have different solutions. [Victor] Osimhen was thought to be a crazy horse, but in the box, he knows how to hurt the opponents.

“Never rule out Juventus, they know how to manage the difficult moments and will be able to return.”

Cannavaro who is currently coaching Guangzhou Evergrande, started his career at Napoli before spending seven years at Parma, with whom he won two Coppa Italia titles, the 1999 Supercoppa Italiana, and the 1999 UEFA Cup.

After spells at Internazionale and Juventus, he transferred (along with manager Fabio Capello) from Juventus to Real Madrid in 2006, with whom he won consecutive La Liga titles in 2007 and 2008.

Osimhen and his Napoli teammates are set to face Torino in a league encounter on Sunday.
