Asante Kotoko star Fabio Gama Dos Santos has declared himself as the best player in the Ghanaian Premier League (GPL).
The Brazilian attacking midfielder was one of the top performances in the GPL last season as he helped Kotoko finish second in the league behind Hearts of Oak.
It was the creative player’s debut campaign in the West African country having joined Kotoko as a free-agent after leaving Swedish club Jönköpings Södra.
Gama made 28 appearances in the league – scoring on four occasions and providing several assists for Kotoko last term.
The 29-year-old player pointed out that they are some good players in the GPL including Augustine Boakye from Wafa.
“We have many good players in Ghana. In my mind, I am always at the top but we have good players. [Augustine] Boakye from Wafa, we have Salifu Ibrahim, very good,” Gama said on Yen.
“We have the number 10 from Great Olympics [Gladson Awako], [Ismail Abdul0 Ganiyu and [Salifu] Mudasiru of Kotoko.
“We have many, many good players. It is impossible to choose 3 or 5 or 10 options because you have more than that.”
Gama began his career at Bahia, before later signing for Botafogo SP and he also turned out for SE Gama and UR Trabalhadore in his home country.
