Patson Daka has described his debut goal for Leicester City on Saturday as a dream come true.

The Chipolopolo striker replaced Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho in the 77th minute in Leicester’s 4-2 home win over Manchester United in which he scored the hosts final goal in stoppage time.

Patson moved to Leicester in the summer from a £23 million deal from Austrian champions RB Salzburg.

“It was really important for me, for my confidence, but also for the team,” Patson told LCFC.COM.

“It was a very crazy game, very intense against a tough opponent, and it’s all because of the support that I received from my team-mates, from the coaching staff and everyone at the Club, including the fans. To get the goal, it gives me an extra boost for my confidence.”

Meanwhile, Leicester rose from 13th to 11th on 11 points, eight points behind leaders Chelsea after collecting their eighth win of the season.
