Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers has described Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka’s four-goal haul in Wednesday’s UEFA Europa League 4-3 away victory in Russia over Spartak Moscow as exceptional.

Patson’s debut European goals for Leicester since his summer move from Austrian champions RB Salzburg came just four days after he scored his first competitive goal for Leicester on October 16 in a 4-2 home win over Manchester United.

The Chipolopolo striker ignited Leicester’s rally in Moscow on the stroke of halftime to see the English club cut the deficit to two-one.

“He was exceptional. To score four goals in a game… the first one, he takes it really, really well and we needed that just before half-time,” Rodgers told LCFC.COM.

Patson added three more goals in the 48th, 54th and 78th minutes to hand Leicester their first Group C victory at the end of match-day-three.

The Chipolopolo strikers’ goals elevated Leicester from bottom to second in Group C on 4 points, relegating Spartak to third spot on 3 points.

Leaders Legia Warsaw of Poland, who have 6 points, play Serie A side Napoli away in Italy on Thursday evening who are bottom of Group C with 1 point.

Meanwhile, Patson also took the overnight lead on the Europa League top scorers charts with his goals but Nigerian Victor Osimhen who has three goals so far would join him should he score against Legia.
