The reason why Forests’ last played a league game on October 2, when they drew 1-1 with Nkwazi just before FIFA international match break, is because their subsequent two opponents both had continental obligations.
Zanaco had CAF Champions League obligations to attend to while rescheduled Week 8 opponents Red Arrows also had CAF Confederation Cup assignments to deal with.
“We haven’t been playing for a while and we are going to have a catch–up game,” Chembo said.
“Games in hand are not points in the bag so we have to labour for them and work hard towards getting them.”
Despite their inactivity, Forest are in mid-table at number 11 with 9 points from six games and are eleven points behind leaders Green Buffaloes.
Forest are also six points adrift of second placed Nkwazi and five points outside the top four threshold where Buildcon sit on 12 points.
“When you look at the team standings, even after one match, teams are changing positions. It is easy to go up but the task is how to stay there,” Chembo said.
Meanwhile, visitors Zanaco who finished second last season are in unfamiliar territory after five games played.
But without any continental obligations until November 28, it would be interesting to see just how Zanaco handle the pressure of playing catch-up that has found them languishing in the bottom four relegation zone.
On the bright side, Zanaco are unbeaten in their last three league games with two draws and a win.
Meanwhile, bottom of the log Arrows too are in away action on Wednesday against Prison Leopards who are just above them at number 17 on 4 and 5 points respectively.
