Chipolopolo midfielder Roderick Kabwe has rejoined Zanaco as a free agent on a two-year deal.

The midfielder returns to the seven-time Zambian champions after a five-year stint in South Africa where he played for Ajax Cape Town and later Black Leopards.

Kabwe has been club-less since he left demoted Leopards in August and later featured prominently in Chipolopolo’s opening two FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group B qualifiers in September against Mauritania and Tunisia.

“It feels good to be back. I am back home after being away from Sunset Stadium for five years,” Kabwe told Zanaco media.

Kabwe initially joined Zanaco in 2013 when he arrived at Sunset from Kabwe Warriors.

He is Zanaco’s second signing from the South Africa PSL this season after midfielder Salulani Phiri returned to the club after five years at Polokwane City.
