Zambia’s CAF Confederation Cup envoys Red Arrows and Zanaco both failed to make any capital gains in Thursday’s rescheduled FAZ Super League Week 8 fixtures after recording home draws in their respective games in Lusaka.
At Sunset Stadium in Lusaka, Zanaco salvaged a point in a seven minute spell after the hour-mark to finish 1-1 against Buildcon.
Zephenia Phiri put Buildcon ahead in the 60th minute but Zanaco equalized seven minutes later through Emmanuel Manda.
The result saw Zanaco collect another point just four days after drawing 3-3 away in Kitwe against Power Dynamos.
Zanaco are 12th on 10 points after the draw while Buildcon stay put at number four on 14 points, tied with third placed Zesco United and are seven points behind leaders Green Buffaloes.
But the result saw Zanaco recover from their 2020/2021 season woes against Buildcon who beat them 1-0 away in Ndola and 4-0 at Sunset.
It was the same status up the road in the Capital at Nkoloma Stadium where Arrows also threw away a lead to share the points with Forest Rangers.
Veteran striker James Chamanga gave Arrows a one-nil half-time lead in the 28th minute.
But Forest captain Laurent Muma leveled matters in the 78th minute to see Arrows also record their second successive draw following a 0-0 away draw at Buildcon on October 31.
The good news is Arrows have crawled out of the bottom four relegation zone after rising one spot to 14th spot on 10 points and are one point behind Forest who are seventh.
