Buildcon coach Boyd Mulwanda admits their month-long winless drought is a concern.
The 2021/2022 FAZ Super League early season pacesetters on Thursday drew 1-1 away with Zanaco at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to stay unbeaten.
Buildcon have now recorded five successive draws during their dry spell since losing 1-0 on September 26 at home in Ndola to newcomers Kafue Celtic.
“A point is good for us away from home but we need to work on our final third to try and build confidence in our strikers,” Mulwanda said.
“We also have failed to win in the last five games and it’s something that should worry us as a team.”
Buildcon’s only league victories came in their opening three matches of the 2021/2022 FAZ Super League season until Celtic halted their promising start.
Meanwhile, in the match against Zanaco, Buildcon took the lead on the hour-mark through Zephenia Phiri.
But hopes of Buildcon’s first win since September 22 were dashed when Zanaco equalized seven minutes later through Emmanuel Manda.
Buildcon stay fourth despite the drought and are tied on 14 points with defending league champions Zesco United who are third from nine and eight games played respectively.
They are seven points behind leaders Green Buffaloes while Nkwazi are second on 18 points.
Buildcon stay on the road this weekend when they return to the Midlands this Sunday to face Kabwe Warriors in Kabwe.
