Forest Rangers coach Tenant Chembo is happy with the early season impact from veteran midfielder Clifford Mulenga.
The 34-year-old who joined Forest mid-way through last season has quietly been grinding away some playtime with the Ndola side this term.
On Sunday, Clifford was handed a rare start by Chembo and scored a 30th minute equalizer in a 1-1 away draw at promoted Chambishi FC.
“Clifford has been coming on for us so we had to give him some leeway this time to lead from the front, which he did,” Chembo said.
“You know, he is not a person who can last you a game but you know what he can do and can bring into the game. He is showing maturity.”
Sunday’s goal against Chambishi comes a week after Clifford scored another equalizer in stoppage time on October 30 in a 1-1 home draw against Kabwe Warriors after the visitors took an 85th minute lead through Akakulubelwa Mwachiyaba.
Clifford now has three goals after ten rounds gone so far this season for Forest who are 10th on 12 points.
