Tunisia out to end Zambia's hopes

Tunisia will lock horns with Zambia in their final 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group B encounter on Tuesday.


Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.


The match is scheduled to take place at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi which was formerly known as Stade 7 November in the Tunsian harbour city of Radès.


The Carthage Eagles tasted their first defeat in Group B when they succumbed to a shock 1-0 defeat to Equatorial Guinea away on Saturday evening.


However, Tunisia are still at the top of the group standings – level on points with second-placed Equatorial Guinea with one game left for each team.


2022 FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS GROUPS


Equatorial Guinea will take on Mauritania in another Group B encounter at the Stade Olympique de Nouakchott in the Mauritanian city of Nouakchott on Tuesday.


Meanwhile, Zambia returned to winning ways in style in Group B when they claimed an emphatic 4-0 victory over Mauritania at home on Saturday afternoon.


Chipolopolo, who ended their three-match winless run when they defeated Mauritania, are placed third on the group standings – three points behind leaders, Tunisia.


The last time Tunisia hosted Zambia was in January 2008.


The Carthage Eagles claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Chipolopolo in an international friendly match which was played at Stade Olympique de Radès.
