Liverpool FC have been boosted by the availability of Senegal international Sadio Mane ahead of their big clash with Arsenal FC.
The two giants are set to collide in a Premier League encounter at the iconic Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Saturday as the English top flight resumes after the FIFA international break.
Mane picked up a knock while on national duty for Senegal last week and he returned to Liverpool where he was assessed by the club’s medical team.
The club has since released the following statement confirming the 29-year-old winger’s availability.
“Sadio Mane trained as Liverpool’s preparations for their clash with Arsenal began in earnest on Tuesday,” a club statement read.
“The Reds’ No.10 was substituted in the early stages of Senegal’s match against Togo last Thursday as a precaution.
“But he joined his teammates as those members of Jürgen Klopp’s squad not on international duty completed a training session ahead of the weekend meeting with the Gunners.”
Mane has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season having netted six goals in 11 matches in the Premier League.
He has also scored six goals against Arsenal in the league since he joined Liverpool from Southampton FC in June 2016.
