FAZ Super League leaders Green Buffaloes are back in action this Saturday at home against Konkola Blades at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the 2021/2022 campaign.
Buffaloes are unbeaten in their opening eleven games of the season in which they have collected seven wins and four draws.
Furthermore, this will be Buffaloes second doubleheader lunchtime kickoff date since Wednesday when they beat Kafue Celtic 1-0 across town at Edwin Emboela Stadium.
Buffaloes will also be hoping to maintain their three-point lead at the summit where they sit on 25 points, three points more than Nkwazi who play Red Arrows in the second kickoff at Nkoloma.
Coach Justin Chinama will be banking on the form of the early season top scorer Friday Samu to add to the 11 goals he has already scored.
Despite Blades recording their last league win on September 25, Lusaka has been kind to the Chililabombwe side.
Blades defeated Zanaco 2-0 there on that date and prior to that drew 0-0 with Lusaka Dynamos on September18.
Meanwhile, in the late kickoff, second positioned Nkwazi who are on 22 points visit mid-table placed Red Arrows.
A victory for Nkwazi and a first loss of the season for Buffaloes in the early kickoff will see the latter join the leaders at the summit but stay number two on goal difference.
But Nkwazi face a tough derby against an improving Arrows who are unbeaten in their last six matches.
