It was a modest mid-week shift of league action for Chipolopolo’s British-based trio.

In the English Premiership, Brighton midfielder Enock Mwepu and Leicester City striker Patson Daka were both on away league assignments.

Brighton were in London where they drew 1-1 at West Ham in a match Mwepu was an unused substitute.

Leicester were down on the south coast visiting Southampton where they rallied to finish 2-2 in a match Patson came on in the 75th minute but was not on target.

Across the border in Scotland, defending champions Rangers were also on the road and beat Hibernian 1-0.

The result saw Rangers avenge their 3-1 Scottish League Cup semifinal defeat they sustained on November 21.

However, striker Fashion Sakala was an unused substitute in Wednesday’s victory.

Meanwhile, Mwepu will follow Patson’s footsteps this weekend when Brighton visits Southampton on Saturday while Patson’s Leicester are in Birmingham on the same day to play Aston Villa.

Fashion and Rangers return home after two successive away games when they host Dundee on December 4 at Ibrox.
