Forest Rangers defender Billy Mutale is expecting a hostile reception during Saturday’s FAZ Super League away game against his ex-club Nkana at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
The ex-SuperSport United defender spent the final part of the 2019/2020 season at Nkana just after leaving the PSL club following his return home to Zambia.
Forest is Mutale’s third stop since then, following a spell with their Ndola rivals Buildcon before moving to the other side this season.
“It will be a good feeling going back home to play my former club Nkana. I know it won’t be an easy game and they will throw everything at us,” Mutale said.
“I know there will be insults (against me) they’re my former club but I just have to be prepared.”
Forest are fourth on 19 points and are making a final push in their next four games for a top six placing at the mid-way point to qualify for the 2022 ABSA Cup.
Hosts Nkana are down at number 11 on 16 points with three draws and a loss since beating Kafue Celtic 1-0 away in Lusaka on October 30.
“Winning Saturday’s game will be very important for us. We need the points more than Nkana,” Mutale said.
The pressure is on Nkana who have lost all their last five meetings against Forest.
Nkana trace their last points against Forest to the 2019 season when they drew 2-2 away in Ndola.
