Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles maintained the status quo in the FAZ Super League top two on Wednesday after posting draws in their respective away midweek fixtures.
In the lunchtime kickoff at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, leaders Buffaloes blew away a two-nil to draw 2-2 with hosts Forest Rangers.
Buffaloes came flying out of the blocks to take a 2-0 halftime lead through Martin Njobvu in the 24th minute and a Friday Samu penalty in the 35th minute.
But a Thomas Chideu double in the 56th and 72nd minutes saw Buffaloes squander a lead to share the points.
Meanwhile, Buffaloes’ draw comes five days after they also threw away a 2-1 lead to finish 3-3 at home with Prison Leopards.
Buffaloes have 30 points from 15 games played and stay six points ahead of Eagles who drew 1-1 with newcomers Kafue Celtic at Edwin Emboela Stadium in Lusaka.
Amity Shamende put Eagles ahead in the 45th minute but Albert Kangwanda equalised in the 50th minute for mid-table Celtic.
