Red Arrows home game against Indeni that was scheduled for Sunday at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka has been postponed due to COVID-19 cases in the home sides’ camp.
It is the second FAZ Super League Week 17 game cancelled this weekend.
The match was scheduled to be a lunchtime kickoff of a doubleheader at Sunset Stadium.
“We have postponed the match between Red Arrows and Indeni originally scheduled for Sunday, December 19, 2021 to a later date due to an outbreak of COVID-19 amongst the players and staff of Red Arrows,” FAZ Super League manager Brian Mulenga said in a circular to the two clubs.
Mulenga added that the Arrows camp has been placed under quarantine.
But the second kickoff at Sunset Stadium between Zanaco and Zesco United is going ahead as scheduled on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kafue Celtic’s home game against Prison Leopards that was scheduled for December 18 at Edwin Emboela Stadium in Lusaka has also been cancelled.
This is also due to COVID-19 cases in the Prison Leopards camp.
