Striker Jesse Were is taking his time to weigh his options following his exit from Zesco United over the New Year period.

The Kenyan striker left Zesco on December 30, 2021 after a successful five-year stay with the defending FAZ Super League champions where he won four top-fight titles.

“I have got a lot of offers but I have to sit down and think about it,” Were said.

“Whatever comes I will think about it and decide. I have yet to decide.”

Were attained legendary status at Zesco where he leaves as the nine-time Zambian champions all-time top scorer with 102 goals.

But Were has failed to replicate his club success with the Harambee Stars where he has endured a barren run in over 26 internationals.

Were, 32 joined Zesco in 2016 from Kenyan club Tusker.

“It feels bad that I have left but also everything has to have an end. I think my time was done so I had to leave,” the Kenyan striker said.

“I know I have done a lot for the team but it was just time.”
