Ex-Zesco United striker Jesse Were has found a new home at promoted FAZ Super League club Kansanshi Dynamos.
Kansanshi confirmed the Kenyan strikers signing on January 4.
“We are pleased to announce our latest addition to our squad, Jackson Jesse Were. The Kenyan Hit Man has joined us on a two-year contract after leaving Zesco United FC,” Kansanshi said in a statement.
Were joins Kansanshi less than a week after Zesco opted not to extend his contract on December 30.
This will be the Kenyans’ second stop in the FAZ Super League.
Were spent five years at Zesco after joining them in 2016 from Kenyan club Tusker FC.
The 32-year-old striker went on to win four league titles with Zesco and set a club record 102 goals during his stay with the nine-time Zambian champions.
Were joins promoted Kansanshi who are currently 12th on the table on 20 points after seventeen matches played?
His first match for Kansanshi will be this Friday when they visit Zanaco at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
