Guinea will lock horns with Malawi in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match on Monday.

Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.

The National Elephants are making their 13th appearance in the tournament and they are favourites against the group minnows, Malawi.

Their key players are Naby Keita of Liverpool FC and Ilaix Moriba – formerly with FC Barcelona – as the West African side looks to reach the knockout phase.

The National Elephants are under the guidance of former Arsenal FC and Paris Saint Germain striker Kaba Diawara.

Meanwhile, Malawi will be making just their third appearance in the AFCON finals and they will be participating in the competition for the first time since 2010.

The Flames will look to their South Africa-based strikers Richard Mbulu and Frank Mhango of Baroka FC and Orlando Pirates respectively.

Mario Marinica is the man in charge of Malawi with the Romanian coach having initially appointed as Technical Director of the Football Association of Malawi.

The previous meeting between Guinea and Malawi was in March 2016 at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Guinea secured a 2-1 win over Malawi in the 2017 AFCON qualifier.
