Cape Verde will lock horns with Burkina Faso in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match on Thursday.
Kick-off is at 21:00 CAT.
This Group A game is scheduled to be played at the Stade Omnisport Paul Biya in the capital city of Cameroon, Yaoundé.
Julio Tavares, who is on the books of Al Faisaly, was the hero for the Blue Sharks as he scored the only goal of the match against Ethiopia.
The towering centre forward will now be confident of scoring again when he faces a wounded Burkina Faso side in Cameroon.
Gustavo Sangare opened the scoring to hand the Stallions the lead, but Vincent Abubakar’s brace inspired Cameroon to a victory.
The West African side will look to Sangare once again when they square off with a confident Cape Verde side and he will be confident of inspiring his side to a win.
The last meeting between Cape Verde and Burkina Faso was on 14 October 2017.
Burkina Faso hammered a hapless Cape Verde side 4-0 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou.
