Senegal face Guinea in Group B headliner

Senegal will lock horns with their rivals Guinea in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match on Friday.


Kick-off is at 3:00 pm CAT.


The Group B game is scheduled to be played at the Kouekong Stadium in the capital and largest city of the West Region of Cameroon, Bafoussam.




The Lions of Teranga, who are one of the tournament favourites, claimed a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in their opening group match which was played on Monday.


Senegal will be looking to take control of Group B by defeating the National Elephants and also move closer to qualifying for the knockout phase.












Meanwhile, Guinea emerged 1-0 winners over Malawi in a match which was played on Monday as they began their Group B campaign with a win.


The National Elephants are hoping to grab the bragging rights by defeating their West African rivals, Senegal and boost their ambitions of reaching the Last 16.




The last time Senegal took on Guinea was on 20 October 2019.



Guinea edged out Senegal 1-0 in the 2020 African Nations Championship qualifier which was played at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry.
