Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has conceded that he does not have the best Black Stars team at AFCON 2021.

The four-time champions have huffed and puffed their way through their opening two Group C games  at the Cameroon tournament and are facing the prospect of a preliminary stage exit heading into  Tuesday night’s final game against  new boys Comoros.

“We don’t have the same team like 2010. Not enough time for preparations. We don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan,” Rajevac told media on Monday.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Morocco in their opening Group C match on January 10 before squandering a one-nil lead against Gabon on January 14 to draw 1-1.

The Black Stars are third in Group C with 1 point, Gabon have 4 points while Morocco lead on maximum 6 points.

Ghana must beat Comoros, who have zero points, by a convincing score line in order for them to  keep  alive their hopes of securing one of the four best  third place finishers slots in order for them to advance to the last 16.
