Chipolopolo secures Bafana friendly

Chipolopolo Zambia will host Bafana Bafana South Africa in a friendly on February 12 in Lusaka.

The Football Association of Zambia has said the match will be at 15h00 kickoff at Nkoloma Stadium.

February’s friendly will mark new Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic’s debut match in charge following the Croats appointment this month.

Since the friendly will be played outside the FIFA match window, only domestic –based players will be available and it will also be a great opportunity for Asanovic to make a preliminary assessment of his CHAN team prospects.

Meanwhile, Chipolopolo and Bafana’s previous meeting was seven months ago on July 14 when the two sides drew 0-0 in their final Group A match at the 2021 COSAFA Cup   held in Nelson Mandela Bay.
