Chipolopolo Zambia coach Aljosa Asanovic has outlined the attributes he is looking for in a local assistant.
The Croat was appointed Chipolopolo coach on January 18 on a four-year deal but has yet to name any local assistant.
“I have my team. Karol Prazenicia is assistant coach, video analyst is Sefan Ceravic, I have two temporary coaches who are fitness and goalkeeper coaches,” Asanovic said on ZNBC TV1.
“I want to involve some local coaches. I tried to find a young guy. I wanted to find a young guy who knows everything about the Zambian culture, football and I hope I find this guy very soon.”
Asanovic has already had an opportunity to work with Zambian coaches late last year during his first four months in the country.
He was Chipolopolo technical advisor between August and November 2021 during Beston Chambeshi’s interim reign when the latter was in charge of Zambia’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 group stage qualifiers.
“Beston Chambeshi is a great man, he is a good coach, our relationship is excellent, we respect each other,” Asanovic said.
