Aljosa Asanovic has disclosed that the scope of his remit does not end with the senior Chipolopolo.
The Croatian has been a regular feature at local league matches on scouting missions following his appointment in mid-January on a four-year contract.
“I want to go to the pitches and see the local players. What I also want as my duty is to go and see as many games for the (junior) under teams as possible,” Asanovic said.
“I want to help the under teams because it is the future. I also want to go and see the women’s teams, Under-20, Under-23 and Under-17; I want to be involved with everybody.”
Asanovic is expected to play a background role in next week’s 2022 Women’s AFCON final round qualifiers.
Shepolopolo Zambia will host Namibia in the first leg on February 16 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka while the final leg match is set for February 22 in Windhoek.
Meanwhile, Asanovic’s first Chipolopolo matches are set for March with friendly dates against Bafana-Bafana South Africa and Tanzania.
