Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe is staying very positive despite that their seventeen match unbeaten run was ended over the weekend away in Choma by second placed Green Eagles.
The 2021/2022 FAZ Super League leaders lost 2-0 at Eagles on Sunday to see their five-month-long unbeaten run dating back to October 28 halted.
“I would say it is a disappointing result but the most important thing is that it has been a good run for us in the last seventeen games,” Chisi said.
The loss sees Arrows lead at the summit cut from five to four points and Eagles move into second place on 43 and 39 points respectively.
Eagles exchanged places with defending champions Zesco United who were displaced to third spot on 38 points after Sunday’s result.
Arrows’ defeat also came a week after they rallied from two-down away at Konkola Blades to snatch a dramatic stoppage time 2-2 draw on February 5 at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.
“We have drop points against Eagles and also a couple of points from the previous game,” Chisi said.
“We are now left with eleven games, which is still a lot of games.
“The most important thing now is we go back into training and we will try to remind the players of the objective that we want to achieve.”
Ironically, Arrows are home in Lusaka this Friday to play the team that sparked their just-ended unbeaten spell when they host Prison Leopards after beating them 1-0 on October 28 away in Kabwe.
