Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United both dropped points in the DStv Premiership when they registered draws on Tuesday.

Chiefs drew 0-0 with a stubborn TS Galaxy side in an encounter that was played at the iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The draw saw Amakhosi remain third on the league standings, while Rockets climbed out of the relegation zone as they are now placed in the 14th spot.

Meanwhile, SuperSport were forced to dig deep to rescue a point in their 1-1 draw with Chippa United which took place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

Despite the draw, Matsatsantsa climbed up to the seventh spot on the league standings, while the Chilli Boys remained 13th on the log – four points above the relegation zone.

Chippa broke the deadlock through Azola Matrose, who netted with a low shot to make it 1-0 to Chippa in the 40th minute and the visitors were leading at half-time.

SuperSport piled pressure on Chippa in the latter stages of the game and the hosts were awarded a penalty after Jesse Donn was fouled in the visitors’ box.

Ghampani Lungu then beat Kazapua from the spot-kick to level matters in the 89th minute and the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
