Simba head coach Pablo Franco Martin insists his side cannot afford to be wasteful against Orlando PIrates in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
The Tanzanian Premier League champions qualified for the knockout stages of the competition after a dramatic matchday 6 in Group D.
They went into the final round of the group phase sitting third behind ASEC Mimosas and RS Berkane, but clinched second place after thrashing USGN 4-0 on home soil.
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers won Group B ahead of Al Ittihad after picking up four wins from their six matches to be paired with the Lions in Tuesday’s draw which took place in Cairo, Egypt.
Martin has warned his players that any mistakes will prove costly from now on and is urging them to take what chances come their way against the South African giants.
“At this stage there is no margin for mistakes,” he said after the draw was made. “They are also worried about the draw because they are facing such a good team as Simba.
“Both teams will try to play good football because at this stage all teams are good. At this stage there will be few chances. This calls for us to be more reliable and competitive in both legs.”
Simba will host the first leg at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on April 17 before making the long journey south seven days later for the return leg at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.
