Raja Casablanca head coach Rachid Taoussi is oozing with confidence ahead of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
The Moroccan giants are set to square off with Egyptian football powerhouse Al Ahly in the quarter-final first-leg clash in Cairo on Saturday.
Al Ahly have dominated African football in the last two years winning back to back Champions League titles and back to back CAF Super Cups under coach Pitso Mosimane.
Taoussi, who won the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup and 2012 CAF Super Cup with Morocco’s MAS Fez, believes he can guide Raja to the semi-finals.
“We have a good, strong group of players not to mention the experience I have in Africa,” Taoussi said on King Fut.
“We are going through a really good phase at the moment.
“We will do our best to advance to the next round and we will do our best to achieve our goals and make the Raja fans proud.”
The second-leg clash is scheduled to be played at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca on April 22.
The winner on aggregate between Raja and Al Ahly will take on either Algeria’s ES Setif or Tunisian champions Esperance in the semi-finals.
