Red Arrows are a game away from being crowned 2021/2022 FAZ Super League champions after title holders Zesco United drew away on Sunday against Power Dynamos.
Second placed Zesco finished scoreless against Power at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe to see their hold on the league crown looking very uncertain.
With three league games left to play, Zesco have 56 points and are seven points behind Arrows who beat Kafue Celtic 1-0 away 24 hours earlier in Lusaka.
Arrows just need a win this Wednesday away at mid-table Kabwe Warriors to secure their second FAZ Super League-ever title in the clubs history since lifting the 2004 championship.
Zesco are also looking over their backs where third placed Green Eagles are a point behind and a clear warning that the race for number two is certainly not over.
Meanwhile, Zesco’s draw also saw Power Dynamos stay fifth on 43 points, three points behind their Kitwe rivals Nkana who finished 1-1 away to Forest Rangers on Sunday in Ndola.
Nkana took the lead in the 40th minute through Patrick Gondwe but Forest denied them the three points when Clifford Mulenga equalised in the 87th minute
