Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns bounced back to winning ways in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday.

Chiefs snapped their four-game losing streak in the league by defeating Marumo Gallants 1-0 at the FNB Stadium with Keagan Dolly scoring the only goal of the match.

The result saw Amakhosi climb to fourth place on the log with 42 points, while Gallants are placed 11th on the log with 31 points and have gone six league matches without a victory.

At the Emirates Airline Park, Sundowns did the double over Sekhukhune United in the league following their 2-0 win with Aubrey Modiba and Peter Shakulile scoring.

Having drawn with Cape Town City last week, Sundowns, who have already won the league title, opened a 16 point gap at the top of the standings, while Sekhukhune remained 10th on the log.

Meanwhile, AmaZulu FC defeated Swallows FC 1-0 as Brandon Truter masterminded a win over his former side at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Despite the win, Usuthuu remained seventh on the league standings, but they are now a point behind fourth-placed Chiefs, while Swallows remained in the relegation playoff spot (15th).

Lastly, SuperSport United’s unbeaten start under Andre Arendse continued after they shared the spoils in a goalless draw with Stellenbosch at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Arendse’s side remain in eighth place after going four games undefeated, with Stellies (40) moving up to fifth in the standings, four points adrift of the top three.
