It’s being reported that Arsenal attacker, Eddie Nketiah, will switch his allegiance to Ghana ahead of the keenly anticipated FIFA 2022 World Cup.

According to 442gh.com, the 22-year-old secured his Ghanaian passport with his nationality switch set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Reports suggest that Nketiah will reject the hope of playing for England and will look to represent Ghana after parental approval.

Also, 442gh.com mentioned that the Gunners forward has already been in contact with the Ghana Football Association and will now work on completing the needed documentation.

With Ghana qualifying for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, it’s said that Nketiah could well represent the nation at the showpiece.

The same report says that the Ghana FA have also been working on the possibility of players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tariq Lamptey to represent the country.

That said, Nketiah has been in fine form for Arsenal in their last couple of matches and recently scored a brace against Leeds United in the Premier League.

In 25 games for the London club, Nketiah managed to score nine goals while recording one assist so far in the 21/22 campaign.
