As Manchester United continue their rebuilding process, Ivorian defender Eric Bailly could be on his way to France according to fresh reports in the media.
Bailly joined the Red Devils in 2016 from Villarreal, enjoying a promising initial campaign with the English giants under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
Since then, injuries plagued the robust defender’s tenure at the club, making just 113 appearances for United since his arrival six years ago.
Adding to his woes, Bailly dropped down the pecking order at Carrington, with the likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane and Phil Jones ahead of him in selection.
Bailly currently has two years left on his deal and is said to be on his way out of Old Trafford, with club’s such as Marsielle and Lyon reportedly interested in his services.
Sports journalist, Ignazio Genuardi and former chief Editor of Football 365, took to his Twitter account in revealing the news.
“#Bailly is officially available for 10-12 M €,” Genuardi tweeted.
“While the Red Devils no longer count on him, the Ivorian international has notably been mentioned on the side of #Marseille and #Lyon in recent weeks.”
