Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Mali international Yves Bissouma ahead of the 2022-23 season.
The top-class central midfielder has joined Spurs from fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion on a permanent deal.
Tottenham issued the following statement on their official website.
“We are delighted to announce the transfer of Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion, subject to the granting of a work permit,” a club statement read.
“The Mali International has agreed a deal that will run until 2026.
Bissouma spent four seasons with Brighton – making 124 appearances in all competitions, and scoring six goals.
During the 2021-22 season, the 25-year-old helped Brighton to ninth place in the Premier League, the highest top-flight finish in the club’s history.
He has made 27 appearances for Mali to date, scoring on three occasions since making his senior debut in October 2015.
