As teams gear up for the Premier League season, Brighton Hove and Albion have announced the signing of a 20-year-old Ivorian striker.
Graham Potter and his side have lit up the Premier League in the last couple of seasons, with their attractive brand of football as they proved to be a bogey side for many top English outfits.
As they prepare for the 22/23 campaign, Brighton have now revealed the signing of 20-year-old Ivorian prospect, Simon Adingra.
Adingra joins Brighton from Danish side Nordsjælland for a fee around £6 million and is known to be a versatile forward, able to play in various attacking positions.
Ahead of the deal, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that Brighton was set to announce the deal, however the club took to their social media accounts in revealing their new player.
“Brighton are set to announce Simon Adingra as new signing very soon,” Romano tweeted ahead of the deal.
“Done deal, Ivorian striker joins on permanent deal for €8m fee from Nordsjælland.
“Adingra will be 4th most expensive player sold from FCN behind Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Emre Mor.”
