As Kaizer Chiefs shape their squad for the upcoming football campaign, Marketing Director Jessica Motaung said that Amakhosi will take the game to their rivals by competing ‘fiercely’.

Chiefs recently announced their latest recruitments, with George Matlou, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Dillion Solomons, Yusuf Maart, Ashley Du Preez, Zither Kwinika and Siyathemba Sithebe revealed as the latest Glamour Boys.

With Arthur Zwane now at the helm as the new head coach, the Soweto Giants will look to compete for silverware in South African football, having gone seven seasons without any trophies.

Now though, Motaung boldly claimed that Chiefs will challenge for honours again, given the work the club is doing on and off the pitch.

“Our target is success, success at all levels and that’s very key, “ Motaung told Sowetan Live, after a discussion organised by LaLiga and Nielsen.

“Hence the work that you see being done at the technical level and the management level and at the brand level.

“So that’s certainly one of the things we are aiming for and to our competitors, we will compete fiercely with them. That’s key.

“We are very excited. Obviously there are a lot of changes and it is a new beginning and a process of renewal, so we are quite excited and looking forward to the team really connecting, gelling and preparing for the season.”
