Ivorian defender Eric Bailly has reportedly been given the green light to leave English giants Manchester United, with the club looking to increase their activity in the current transfer window.
New manager Erik Ten Hag took to the Carrington training grounds for the first time this week, as he prepares his side for the upcoming pre-season campaign.
On the transfer front, the club is said to be working on deals for Dutch stars Frankie De Jong and Tyrell Malacia. Regarding outgoings, Paul Pogba, Edison Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata recently left has high-profile departures.
Now though, according to a report on Goal.com, Phil Jones along with Bailly, will be allowed to leave. The Ivorian joined United in 2016 under former United manager, Jose Mourinho.
Since then, Bailly managed to make just 113 appearances for the club, scoring one goal along the way. While he enjoyed a promising spell in his first campaign in England, the Ivorian battled with long-term injuries that kept him sidelined for prolonged periods.
Bailly has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, as seen with reports in the media, with English side Newcastle said to be interested in his services.
