In what was news that no doubt pleased many Liverpool fans around the world, Mohamed Salah recently extended his stay with Liverpool. In reacting to the news, Jurgen Klopp mentioned that Salah’s best years are still to come.
After turning out for Liverpool in 2017, supporters were left anxious in the last couple of months, as talks regarding Salah’s immediate future began making its rounds in the media.
With reports of contract talks potentially breaking down, to being linked with big money moves elsewhere, Salah finally committed his future to Liverpool with a new long-term contract.

“Really pleased – really, really pleased. It’s the best decision for us and best decision for him,” Klopp told the Liverpool official website.
“He belongs with us I think. This is his club now.
“Of course it has taken a little time but that’s absolutely okay and the best things are always worth waiting for anyway. Mo is one of the best players in the world; it’s only normal there are things to sort when you are this level.
“So big credit to Julian Ward and Mike Gordon for guiding us to this destination.
“I have no doubt Mo’s best years are still to come. And that’s saying something, because the first five seasons here have been the stuff of legend.”
