After Mohamed Salah extended his stay with Liverpool, it is believed that other contract talks could well commence, including that of an African midfielder.
The Reds have been busy in the current transfer market, as they continue to do business whether it be comings or goings. Sadio Mane recently headed toward the exit doors at Anfield, after putting pen-to-paper in a £35 million move to Bayern Munich.
Soon thereafter, Salah committed his immediate future to Liverpool and extended his current deal with 2025, after a long negotiation process.
Regarding new recruits, the 19-time English League champions sharpened their squad with Fabio Carvalho, Calvin Ramsay and the much talked about, Darwin Nunez.
Now though, Guinean midfielder Naby Keita could be next regarding a contract extension, according to a report by the Mirror.
The 27-year-old is heading into the last year of his current deal, with the report suggesting that Liverpool are ‘keen’ on keeping him on board. Keita signed for Liverpool four years ago, as he arrived in England with a £54 million priced tag and also, a big reputation.
The same report mentions that Diogo Jota could well be on the receiving end of an improved deal, along with Keita, as the club continues to make full use of their cheque books.
