PSL football legend Teko Modise has said that Kaizer Chiefs have done ‘good business’ in the current transfer window and that the young players at the club are in good hands.

The Soweto giants have been one of the busiest clubs in the current South African transfer market as they look to close the gap to Mamelodi Sundowns, who have been dominating PSL football in recent years.

Modise, who plied his trade for teams such as Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City, recently mentioned that Chiefs oversaw shrewd business in the current transfer window, while highlighting the importance of young players and their development.

“I think the biggest conversation around the transfer market is Kaizer Chiefs. I think they have done good business,” Modise said to TimesLIVE.

“Even though the overhaul is going to upset some people with so many legends leaving the team, at some point it had to happen.

“Look at all the youngsters coming in and also with coach Arthur Zwane having coached those youngsters, and Dillon Sheppard who has also worked with youngsters.

“The youngsters are really in good hands. But to see the success of that, I think that needs to be on the pitch. That’s the biggest challenge”
