CAF President Patrice Motsepe recently commented on Gianni Infantino’s links to all things related to African football and mentioned that the continent ’needs partners’.

It has been speculated that the FIFA President has a hand in football matters in Africa however, Motsepe refuted such claims by saying that the whispers are old stories to him.

The 60-year-old business mogul also mentioned that Africa needs partners while he focuses on the commercial side of things in the African game.

“There are things we agree upon and things we don’t, “ Motsepe told the Sunday Times.

“I focus on commercial and making African football money, and this Infantino thing is an old story for me.

“I don’t know who’s influencing who because there’s a concern that Africa is influencing Infantino.

“Let me tell you this, Africa needs partners.”
