United legend lauds Salah after ‘fantastic’ Community shield performance

Legendary Manchester United captain Roy Keane gave a glowing review of Mohamed Salah’s performance against Manchester City, after the Reds claimed a 3-1 win in the Community Shield at the King Power stadium.

In a match deemed to be the curtain raiser for the new Premier League season, Liverpool looked sharp as they got one over their new found rivals.

While City looked a shadow of their usual self, it was Jurgen Klopp’s men who dominated the reigning Premier League champions for large parts of the encounter.

As one of the star performers of the match, Salah gained the approval of the United legend as he mentioned that his contract extension is now ‘put to bed’.

“He’s a brilliant player, he’s outstanding,” said Keane at half-time, as per RousingTheKop.

“There was never a doubt about his professionalism, I think the contract is now put to bed.

“Quality player, we’re seeing it there. He’s fantastic.”
