Ivorian star Franck Kessie has opened up on life at Spanish giants Barcelona, having signed for the club after seeing out his contract at AC Milan.
The 25-year-old midfielder has already looked at home in manager Xavi Hernandez’s line-up, featuring prominently in pre-season matches against the likes of Olot, Inter Miami, Real Madrid and Juventus.
“Everything is going well,” Kessie told Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by Football Espana.
“There’s a very good atmosphere. My teammates have welcomed me very well. It’s like a second family. Everything is going well – training, my relationship with the staff.
“Everything is fine. Barcelona are a team made to win and the fans always expect more. For me, Barcelona have always been the best team in the world. There have been many signings and we will do our best to help the team.”
Barca are looking to build a squad capable of dethroning Real Madrid as La Liga champions, and have also signed the likes of Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
The Catalan club will complete their pre-season programme with a clash against Pumas UNAM on Sunday 7 August, before their La Liga campaign opens on Saturday 13 August with a home clash against Rayo Vallecano.
