Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has given insights to the club’s current transfer window following their 1-0 defeat to Royal AM in their opening match of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign.
The Glamour Boys made the trip to the Chatsworth Stadium this past weekend, as Royal AM welcomed the Soweto giants in what was a keenly anticipated fixture.
In the process, Royal AM recorded their third straight win over Chiefs as the controversial club continued to be tough nut to crack for Amakhosi.
After the encounter, Zwane revealed that Chiefs are looking to sign a striker, identifying a more traditional forward as the kind of player they need at the moment.
“Yes we’re still looking, you can see the way want to play,” Zwane told SuperSport after the game.
“We don’t want a striker that will come and be like the players that we have.
“We need someone who is strong on the ball, someone who is a good header of the ball, someone who can hold the ball for us to join in at high speed, then that will give us that different dimension.
“Right now we have more speedy players, if they can be a little but clinical like today it could have been a different story altogether.”
