Out-of-favour Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has strongly been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the current transfer window, with it being reported that West Ham United have joined the race for the Ivorian star.
Despite a promising pre-season campaign, in which Bailly was deemed to be one of United’s best players while on tour, the centre-back could be on his way out of the club.
Following the signing of Lisandro Martinez, Bailly fell further down the pecking order with the likes of Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof being favoured ahead of the 28-year-old.
Bailly had a turbulent six-year spell with the club, with back-to-back injuries hindering his progress with the English giants.
According to TalkSport, West Ham United identified Bailly as a new target after the club agreed a deal for Issa Diop to join Fulham.
“There are a couple of names in the frame, one of them is Kehrer,” TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook said.
“And they are among a cluster of clubs monitoring Eric Bailly. He was in the stands as United lost to Brighton.
“He is wanted by Sevilla and Jose Mourinho at Roma has expressed an interest.”
