Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has been linked with a move away from the London-based club in the last couple of months, with France said to be his next destination.

Previously on the books of Ligue 1 side Lille, The Ivorian star joined the Gunners in 2019, in what was a high profile move worth around the £72 million mark.

It’s been reported that Pepe had fallen down the pecking order at the club, with manager Mikel Arteta deeming the African star surplus to requirements in the 2022/23 football season.

Pepe has two years left on his current deal with the London-based side and has been linked with a move away from the English giants.

According to Goal.com, Pepe is said to be on his way back to France with Nice being reported as his next destination. As per the website, the 27-year-old is expected to leave Arsenal on loan, however, an agreement is yet to be reached.

It’s said that the deal is set out for the duration of the 2022/23 campaign and that the English giants expect a loan move to be concluded in the current transfer window.

Pepe represented Arsenal on 112 occasions since his move in 2019, scoring 27 goals in the process. Having been linked with a move away from the club, the report states that Pepe is ‘determined’ to turn his fortunes at Arsenal around.
