In speaking about the new PSL campaign, former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane recently suggested that the club currently have a higher level of quality in comparison to the teams he had during his time at Chloorkop.
As big spenders in the PSL, Downs often acquired some of the most talented players in South Africa, while their recruitment extended to foreign lands such as Europe and South America.
Having won the league for five seasons in succession, it would be hard to topple the Chloorkop outfit, with Mosimane recently giving his thoughts on the current PSL season.
“I also wish that when I was there, I could have the squad they have now,” Mosimane said according to Sunday World.
“I had Ramagalela and them, now it’s paradise.
“You have to understand that there’s the African Super League and you know the president of Sundowns when it comes to this space, there’s also the CAF Champions League, and even the local PSL league.
“Maybe they are beefing up to that level, that’s my opinion with this talent that they have and this squad.”
