It’s been reported that Real Sociedad could secure the services of Nigerian attacker Sadiq Umar soon, with the club looking to conclude a deal for the 25-year-old this week.
With Newcastle United signing Alexander Isak, who was one of Sociedad’s most important players, the club has identified Umar as the player to replace the Swedish talent.
The Nigerian attacker has been linked with a move away from Almeria after the club gained promotion to LaLiga. Umar scored 18 goals for the Spanish outfit last season, prompting Sociedad to add the African to their list of targets.
According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, Socieded could conclude the deal soon and have scheduled medicals for the forward.
“Real Sociedad have booked medical tests for Umar Sadiq in the morning,” Fabrizio tweeted.
