Royal AM co-coach Dan Malesela is reportedly on the verge of making a shock return to DStv Premiership rivals Marumo Gallants, just three months after they let him go.
The 57-year-old only spent eight months with the Limpopo outfit, having quickly turned around their fortunes after being handed the reins in November 2021.
Malesela guided Bahlabane Ba Ntwa to the Nedbank Cup final in May before losing 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in extra-time, but he was subsequently released at the end of his contract the following month.
The South African tactician, who is affectionately known as ‘Dance’, succeeded John Maduka at Thwihli Thwahla during the off-season and has won four of his opening eight league games in charge.
Gallants, meanwhile, have made a poor start to the season yet again and new head coach Romain Folz resigned just five matches into his tenure after claiming that management had interfered with team affairs.
With the team winless after seven outings and languishing second from bottom in the standings, Malesela has apparently been approached to work his magic once more at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
